I purchased this kettle as a gift for a friend, she was pleased when she received the kettle, although she did not start to use it immediately. When she decided to use the kettle, she noticed that no matter what room she was in at home she could not hear the kettle whistling. She stood next to the kettle and did a «test» she could barely hear the kettle whistling, she also could not get the nozzle off the kettle to pour out the water.After exchanging the kettle, she received a kettle that you could hear no matter where you were in the house, she loves the vibrant color of the kettle, and the nozzle is very easy to come off to pour out water for tea, coffee, or just hot water. She states she loves the color of the kettle and the vibrant shine it keeps after using for some time. She would definitely recommend this kettle to other Amazon Customers. The Seller features a video also that you can watch helping to decide if you would like this kettle to be added to your list of kitchen appliances. The Seller has also described the Mr. Coffee Whistling Tea Kettle accurately, and it is a very good kettle. A gauge is also listed on the outside of the kettle to help you to determine how much water should be poured into the kettle.

I chose the Mr. Coffee Whistling Tea Kettle for the following reasons: 1) I wanted a new whistling tea kettle; 2) I fell in love with the design; 3) my kitchen curtains have a little red in them; 4) the price was right.I keep the Mr. Coffee Whistling Tea Kettle for the following reasons: 1) I still have a daily need for a whistling tea kettle; 2) every time I see it, I love the design even more. It has a sort of elegance which grows on one. 3) When one removes the whistle, the spout appears— a handy, comfortable, just the right size for pouring spout which does not spill or splash or drip ! One can remove the lid to fill the kettle, or one can choose to place the spout under the kitchen faucet and fill it —most conveniently—that way!; 4) the handle is sturdy, comfortable, and never over heats; 5) the just right red color really does match my curtains; but most of all (6) when I am working away in my kitchen with ten absolutely immediate tasks before me, the teapot catches my eye and it is eye-candy with its symmetrically designed self. I pause. I smile. At that moment I am reminded that it is worth every penny I spent for it.

My girlfriend loves her tea kettle!! She has used it 10 times since I bought it which has only been 5 days and she does not have any problems with it. I read reviews about it chipping after the second or third use and that has not happened to the tea kettle yet. The handle has not gotten hot, it is always cool to the touch. The whistling sound came around after the 6th use, it did not make a noise with the first few uses. I intend to use this tea kettle for a while! I will update if anything does appear over the next few uses.

I almost didn’t get this, b/c of some of the negative reviews. But, w/ Amazon’s great return policy, I figured I would give the good reviewers the benefit of the doubt, and try it out. Glad I did! I had messed up another pot I had when I had left it on a burner too long w/ nothing in it. It was thicker than this one, so the reviews that warn against this one having that issue, it is almost any pot. I like that it is thin (so you just have to be mindful), so it brings my water up to temperature fast! And, it whistles pretty loud! I read reviews that said it was not, but I’ve found the only time that happens (just as with any other whistle pot) is when I have not secured the lid properly. for 10 bucks, I’m quite satisfied with my kettle. I’ve had it for over 3 months, at the time of this writing.

After a couple weeks I have received this kettle, one day I poured water out from it and found brownish water in my cup. I looked at the bottom of the kettle and saw brown color liquids there. I poured out the liquid and saw rusty masks on it. I cleaned out the rust and saw black spots there. I will not buy any made in China Mr. Coffee product again. They are not honest people. This product is not made with stainless steel. It is made with scrap metals. Once the thin layer of coating material at the bottom is gone then it will rust. It is so disgusting to think I may have drink some of those brownish water without knowing it. It is danger to my health.

I really am baffled by the expectations of some people. Look at the price you’re paying here! Of course this is made of thin-gauge steel! No, it’s not made domestically! Good grief.I’ve had this for a couple of months, and if you want a functional kettle for a low price, this is your ticket. I love that it’s dishwasher-safe, that’s a must for my kitchen!Other reviewers are correct about the handle — it can get hot. I’ve found that burner selection is the key to avoiding an issue. As long as you put this on a burner that’s smaller than the kettle bottom, the handle doesn’t over-heat.I have not had any problems with the whistle-tip getting stuck, but I always put it on loosely.
