This item arrived a wk before scheduled, which was a nice surprise. Our old one from Walmart stopped working, so time to get a new one. Old one was white and we wanted black which does not show nasty coffee stains. And we wanted a small one since most days I’m the only one who drinks my one cup a day. It’s perfect for just me, and when my better half wants a cup it’s perfect for two. Just enough for both to have a full mug; mine 10 oz, his 14. Tastes great, easy cleanup. Plus it’s BPA/BFOA/BFOE free, which matters to me. And couldn’t be easier to use and wash. Very user-friendly. You should get one!

Very simple to use, no bells and whistles of any kind. You put in the filter, coffee, and water, swing the arm in place, turn it on and it makes coffee.Be aware: — So this is a very small coffee maker. 1 cup does not equal 8 oz — no, 1 cup of Mr Coffee coffee is 5 oz. So it really is a single person coffee maker unless you drink pretty small servings and never want a refill. If I had thought more about this, I would have bought a slightly larger maker. I guess the upside of this is that you will always be drinking fresh coffee.- You need small filters for this. They don’t really tell you what size though. It would be good for this to be listed somewhere. — The plug is 1 foot long. Plan accordingly.

I bought this to have more counter space but I did not think about the measurement of the depth of the coffee maker which is not as teeny as the carafe… but that is my fault. I have should have checked before I ordered. I do love the size and shape of the carafe. I had to call the manufacturer because there was no instruction on how to clean the machine before using it. The customer service dept. answered right away and spoke good English.

I never have been much of a coffee drinker. (I call myself a «coffee Philistine,» I can’t tell the difference between gas station coffee and ooh-la-la fancy snob coffee.) I started with coffee for its antioxidant properties (and ooh, coffee is also tasty!).I first got a pour-over setup, which I like. I needed something with a small footprint in my kitchen, and pour-over is great for that. But pour-over has a lot of rules and techniques and sometimes I’m just not up for that. (I’m learning, though!)But after doing my pour-over for a while, I figured, let’s investigate a small coffee machine. Do they exist? How do they work? (I have never used a coffee machine in my life. They were always these mysterious contraptions in other people’s houses.) After looking at some video reviews on Amazon, I realized that I can do this! I just needed something SMALL that would do just a few cups of coffee at a time.And this machine is PERFECT! I usually drink 16-ish ounces of decaf at a time. This machine does 25 ounces—more than enough! This machine is very intuitive. If I can learn it, anyone can! I am waiting for my little junior basket filters to arrive, so right now I’m using my ooh-la-la V60 pour-over filters (just sort of smooshing them to fit in there) and they’re working, though not perfectly.I did learn one tip from a coffee guru on YouTube (James Hoffman). He explained that automatic drip machines don’t heat up the water fast enough at first, and the flavor will be improved if the water is hotter from the start (to get more «extraction» from the coffee grounds or something). That is easy enough to do, as I have my tea kettle right on the stove anyway.So far, so good. I do see that it might be a concern if you want to set up your coffee machine and then walk away, because there’s no automatic shut-off. But I never did that with pour-over so I’m always hovering around while making the coffee anyway.Update: Got the junior basket filters and they fit perfect—no grounds spilling over or any problems like other reviews here report. The secret is to get the 4-6 cup basket filters, aka “junior” filters. I had to buy them online; the local grocery store didn’t have them.

Was tiring of the environmental waste of my Keurig and the K cups (even used reusable filters but they were a pain). Read online reviews comparing the Mr Coffee to the Black and Decker brands and decided to order this 5 cup coffee maker. Although it really only fills my coffee mug twice, it’s a great little coffee maker. Perfect for me! You will need the small coffee filters. I am very happy with this purchase.

Got this pot to save on cost of coffee pods. I use this every day and use my Keurig when I want different flavor or easy single 10 oz coffee . I took picture so you can see size. My Keurig is single cup Keurig Mini. Folgers 24 ox can of coffee makes 240 6oz cups at cost of $10.74, so this is big savings.

For a mini brew, it works really well, and is easy to control. For something made out of plastic it it hasn’t broke, and I’ve used it about twenty or thirty times so, yeah it’s great.

Replaced a 15 year old Mr Coffee maker with this one. It’s nice to be able to see the water level. This newer Mr Coffee will make more than the old one.Now we both get a full cup.

This coffeemaker is a great size if you don’t want a 12-cup coffeemaker. It works well. I only had to replace it because it was cheaper to buy a new one than replace the coffeepot, which I broke. The price is great and it is a great buy for the money.

I was just diagnosed with high blood pressure, and my doctor wants me to cut down on the caffeine. Prior to my diagnosis, my husband and I would share a big pot of coffee each day. I bought this pot when I realized I needed to start drinking decaf. Now we have two coffee-makers side-by-side on our counter. I like how this takes up just a little room, and I’m able to make decaf at the same time we make caffeinated coffee for my husband. This unit is very simple to use, and because it’s small it brews quickly. I recommend it!
