It is a bit taller than the previous glass carafe. I can’t totally speak to the durability, but I’m pretty sure my daughter will find this one much tougher to break. Barkeepers friend will keep it looking like new.

Love this thing. Easy to clean amd fits my machine. We will se how sturdy it is, but it seems great! Replaced my old glass carafe that the handle broke on.

REPLACED PUR EXPRESSO MACHINE GLASS CARAFE WICH BROKE INSIDE THE DISHWASHER. GREAT REPLACEMENT UNIT EASY TO CLEAN AND NO ESPECIAL CARE.

After breaking several glass carafes over the years I tried this one. It works well so 5 stars with some caveats for others.First, I have to tilt it to get it under the twin spouts. But it holds 4 shots and my Gaggia can only make two at a time. And since the carafe is only half full no precious espresso spills when I remove itAs others have noted, you can’t see the espresso level so you have to time the pour at 20 seconds — my usual practice.Finally the steel is pretty thin and could possibly be dented if it fell on the floor.For the price, my particular espresso machine, 5 Stars.

This is first time I am reviewing a product because I am a bit annoyed by Amazon comments section! It seems the amazon is still adding comment from an older version of the product to this one!! The older product as far as I can tell was of inferior quality (you can see the pics from people its different).The one I got is the same one which they are publishing and is almost exact replica of Mr. Coffer Espresso machine glass container. In last 4-5 years We have broken two of glass ones, so this time we wanted to get something more durable and came to know there are stainless steel replacement.Long story short after 15 days of research we finally ordered this one and needless to say very happy with the product, the steel is not high guage but its decent quality for the price! Unless you are banging and throwing your utensils I think this replacement will definitely survive more than its glass couterpart!

This was a great replacement product. The original cup I had was glass and plastic. The plastic broke on the top in the first two weeks and the glass was cracked within 6 weeks. I’ll never need to replace this
