I’ve had this for probably a couple of years now and love it. Easy to clean. Doesn’t let the grains through of the coffees I use (Lavazza and various supermarket own brands) so I’m happy with it. It holds two decent-sized mugs of coffee.The only way I could see it could be improved is if it had markings on the glass for the water levels required for espresso, 1 mug etc.

This is a good quality product. Size 4 is slightly bigger than a standard mug. In the instructions, It suggests you don’t use boiling water and the reason for that is with some coffees it brings out the bitterness. It suggests that coarse ground coffee is used but I use Lavazza Qual Rossa or Cafe Direct and both are fine ground and both work with this unit. Brewing time is recommended as 4 minutes — this is important if you want to get the full taste of the coffee. Once fitted the lid rotates and this helps to keep the coffee warm by sealing the exit lip. Do remember to rotate the lid (don’t remove it) so the grill is facing the exit lip and pour your cup of pleasure from this well-designed unit.

You can’t go go wrong with Bodum. They are brilliant…the only downfall is that every so often, I manage to break the glass jug. Really, I would like a stainless steel insulated bodum coffee maker but I can’t afford it! But very happy with this one, much better than cheap imitations from supermarkets.

You pay for the quality. Bought this a few months ago and haven’t stopped using it, very easy to clean, keep coffee warm, ideal size.The frame is sturdy and keeps the glass just firmly enough so it doesn’t move but you can take it out easily when you want to wash it Love, love, love it!
