I read these reviews and have no idea what these people are doing to have the issues they do.The handle comes off? Give me a break. You’ve got to be running this through the dishwasher when Technivorm specifically tells you not ot.The carafe doesn’t pour well? I’ve had three and each one pours flawlessly, unlike any other coffee maker I’ve owned, and it doesn’t spill coffee when you pour like some reviewer wrote.The tabs that snap in for the carafe break off? How? Never happened to me, and I run ALL the plastic parts (cone filter, carafe lid) through the dishwasher even though Technivorm says in time this can make them brittle. No issues, so well worth it to me. (And if I have to replace both parts eventually no big deal.)I DO NOT EVER RUN THE GLASS CARAFE THROUGH THE DISHWASHER, just its lid. The handle is adhered to the glass so that’s the only way I can see anyone would have this issue mentioned here.I did have to replace the original carafe after about 8 months, but I’d also bumped it while cleaning at times over those months. I could have been gentler. Stuff happens, but physics is physics regardless of who’s making this stuff, so I don’t get the issues and claims here.All the issues I’ve read about simply don’t happen, and I’ve been using this daily since I bought it.Also, when you buy a replacement glass carafe it comes with a new plastic lid included. I have never broken the tabs off ANY of these lids despite washing them in the dishwasher (against the manufacturer’s recommendations) daily.Perhaps people should get real about their expectations, and put a Rubbermaid matt on the bottom of your sink if you’re really THAT careless that you break the carafe setting it there.I expect to go through two of these a year, but whenever I need a new one I’ve already ordered a backup to use that’s ready, and then I immediately order a new one to have on hand for when it’s needed.So far other than the glass carafe the rest of the parts and the machine have held up perfectly, but I get long, long life out of these machines by descaling and cleaning every 60 days. (That effort also has me going at 15 years still working for my Jura S9 espresso machine, so it’s well worth the effort.)

Bought this as insurance against potentially, as bad things do happen when it’s least convenient, breaking the carafe that came with my Moccamaster. Figured it’d save me from the embarrassment and hassle if/when I actually do need a replacement.

I had broken the glass carafe for the Moccamaster coffee maker that I had purchased on Amazon. I was having a hard time buying a replacement for my machine. This one worked!

I was very surprised to find a chip on the edge of the spout of my coffee carafe the first day I used it. I live alone, so no one other than me used the carafe. Very weird that a carafe made for high temps would chip immediately. I wish I wouldve looked it over before I used it for the first time. I thought these carafes were made of a pyrex like material.. which would make it quite durable. I guess not. Just good info to know.. if you order anew carafe, look it over very well before you use it. By the way, my original carafe was replaced due to the plastic band around the carafe loosening to the point it would not hold the lid, and the prong on the lid wore down.. so the lid would not stay on, but it took a couple years of daily use to do so.

I love my Moccamaster but I hate the carafe. I’ve had my coffee machine a little over a year. My family and I broke four of these carafes. I wished Technovarn, not sure of the spelling, would give me two for free. The machine itself delivers great coffee, I wished I bought the stainless steal model.Can I please get two carafes free or give me a thicker one.

Broke my original so ordered 2 of these (yeah I’m a bull in a china shop) and have to say can’t tell that this didn’t come with coffee maker. Same quality as original, arrived timely and what else van I say. If you need a replacement look no further.

Great oem replacement. Glass is thin on the the original (and these). I was able to go 5 years without breaking the original. When it did break amazon had the replacement on my steps the next day.

I inherited a Moccamaster from a friend, but it was missing the carafe. I tried a cheapo generic one from Wal-Mart for a while but it just didn’t feel right. Good to have all the right parts for my machine.
