This just arrived today. I was a little nervous, since the box seemed to be mashed in, and there was a rattling sound, but everything seemed to be fine. I was able to fit my hand inside to wash it, and I consider my hands to be medium for a woman. something to note, the handle is fixed in place and does not fold down, so that makes it a bit complicated to wash and rinse completely.I love the color — it is a vibrant purple — my favorite color!The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that there is absolutely no whistle. I let it boil, and it even started to shake a bit (I have a coil type electric range), and waited for a whistle, and saw steam coming out, but *no* whistle. So, I will just extra careful to make sure if I put it on I stay in the room.*Updated — I was mistaken and this kettle does have a whistle. It just takes it a while to start, but once it does, it is quite loud! I upgraded the score to 5 stars — and do love this kettle!

I was looking for a red tea kettle and came across this one on Amazon. Very pretty and I love the shape. Some complained about rusting but I make sure to drain it every time I use it and dry it out before putting it back on the stove for the next time. Of course, if you’re going to leave it with water in it on the stove all the time, it’s going to rust! Yes, the handle does get a bit hot, use a pot holder. And no, you can’t fill it above the spout, but that’s just common sense. The whistle isn’t annoying. All in all, I think this was a great buy for an unusual looking tea pot with a beautiful burnished red finish.

I have recently moved into a small apartment where the kitchen was all white. I had always wanted to red in the kitchen and did! This was just what I was hoping it to be and more. The color is a great red, and it is red not a burgundy red. The shape is great and the handle makes it safe and cool to pour! If you are looking for that red accent for you stove top look no further you just found it!

Works very well once I realized it wasn’t whistling due to my failure to seat the cover properly. Otherwise, it could maybe use a bit more spring in the spout cap so it whistles a little bit earlier?It is a bit large…but maybe you’re going to have tea parties.

I needed a new tea kettle and when I came upon this purple one I just had to have it. It is a wonderful pop of color in my recently remodeled kitchen. It is a little bit of modern in a traditional setting, it also complements the glass subway tile backsplash that it sits in front of because everything is neutral creams and stainless steel.

I love this tea kettle! The color is exactly what it looks like in the picture. I like the big base at the bottom of the kettle, It can fit on a large burner and it heats up fast. Perfect addition to my absinthe green, black and purple kitchen.
