Because the lid is wood it warps after a few uses. I have been using this about 6 weeks and now it won’t seal properly. I cannot recommend it for this reason.

After five months, I have confirmed. I am still admiring this well-constructed press every time I «take the plunge.» First: It holds a LOT, a full quart. Second: it’s well insulated, keeping it drinkably warm (though not hot) after half an hour. Third: Super easy to keep clean, with sturdy durable parts. Fourth: it’s stylish and cool, with a neat little coffee timer built into the handle that I never use, except when I am trying to impress my guests. Fifth, it’s solid steel and teak, and it has survived collisions with coffee mugs, hard counter tops, and steel sinks, without shattering or chipping; in fact, I can’t even find a dent! I couldn’t say that about my glass or ceramic LeCreuset French presses.

What an ingenious little coffee maker! I developed a severe intolerance to caffeine, but I love coffee. I found Swiss Water process decaf after even normal decaf was keeping me awake at night. But returning to the office, where we do not have any decaf, I decided the best way to deal with it was to make my own. Enter this beautiful French press! It makes perfect coffee, and I love the little built-in timer! I thought that was a little gimmicky when I bought it, but it’s my favorite feature. And the mid-Century design is just aesthetically cool! All French presses are a pain to clean, this one no more or less than any other. Highly recommend it!

I bought this for my husband after he accidentally broke his old one made of glass. He has always frequently used a French press and I wanted to get him one that I thought would be more durable. He LOVES it and always gets compliments on it at work. We don’t put it in the dishwasher. Just hand wash and air dry.

I had a glass one, but I broke the glass for the 3rd time and decided to change over to this nice looking mid century modern, insulated one and I’m so happy with my purchase. I use it every day and my coffee stays nice and hot.. A lot hotter and boyer for longer, than the glass one did. Very happy. I would recommend. I wanted the Clara, in Walnut but it only comes in 24oz. Glad this one was 34.

This was exactly what I needed and as advertised. Looks great on the counter and the accompanying directions for use are very helpful. I like the built in egg timer as I don’t need to awaken anyone with the oven timer as I make my coffee in the morning!

This is the first French press I made good coffee in. Also, my first mug had a very slight defect and they sent me a free one.

This is a very well built French press. I don’t like to flush the grinds down the sink so it is sorta a pain to clean.
