This coffee filter is the way to go if you’re looking for a gourmet cup using a drip coffee maker. The coffee has a slightly greater depth of flavor than when using a paper filter, and there’s no waste. I had heard that using a paper filter removes tasty oils from your coffee beans, and upon pouring a cup made with this filter you can actually see traces of the oils on top of the coffee. It does leave a bit of sediment in the pot, so I use a white cup so I can clearly see when to stop drinking; it’s really just the last drop.I would describe the taste as being comparable to a french press-made cup, but without the extra steps (apart from having to clean out the filter when you’re done, of course). It is not as strong as a cup of pressed coffee. I grind my beans the exact same way as I would with a normal drip maker with paper filter — about the same grind as store-bought pre-ground coffee.I certainly recommend this filter. Even if you’re not using it to avoid waste, the taste of the coffee is marginally better than that produced with paper filters. I’m using a Mr. Coffee drip coffee/steam espresso maker combo unit.

I bought this after I bought the Mr Coffee/Espresso combo machine and have used it several times. I did notice that the grounds do tend to get into the bottom of the coffee pot but then again that’s something I’m used to so its not really that big of a concern for me. I do like the fact that I don’t have to buy anymore paper filters so that’s definitely a plus.Only thing that is a little bothersome is the fact that the handle prongs on one side broke off after the first use and I kind of have to slowly extract the unit from the reservoir after every use, but other than that its not really something that takes all the much time to do. I would definitely get another one of these, it does pay for itself after a while when you think of the paper filters that you don’t have to buy anymore. Besides, anyone that drinks coffee on a regular basis is going to have coffee grounds on the bottom of their coffee pot anyway, shouldn’t be something to be too bothered with.

We are really enjoying this filter. Just got it just over a week ago and have used it every day. Using it with pre-ground packaged coffee and have had great results.Bought this one because it is the same brand as our coffee maker so I figured there should be no fit issues and have had none. This is a really great price and when you figure that it was about the cost of a small pack of paper filters we will be saving a fair amount of money.Don’t really notice a taste difference from the paper filters to this one and we haven’t noticed much if any «sludge» in the bottom of the pot.The other nice advantage is that we compost our grounds and now we don’t have to keep seeing the filters when we are turning the compost pile and waiting for them to break down.

We are using this filter in a Mr. Coffee ECM21 and it is working as expected. I read something about paper filters holding coffee oils where this filter will let those through, but I was more concerned about saving money by not having to buy paper filters, and with the amount of coffee we’ve been drinking, I think I’ve achieved that. I could make the environment/landfill argument as well I suppose, but I’ll stick with «I’m cheap.» I will buy another one of the time comes.

Sludge, seriously, dude get with the program! The biggest advantage of a filter like this is that it allows all the oils from the ground coffee bean into the coffee instead of filtering it out the way paper filters do. THIS is real coffee the way it’s supposed to be with all the lovely aromatic tasty natural oils from the bean included. On top of that it’s environmentally friendly and thrifty, no more cutting down trees just to make a cup of coffee!

This product was really easy to find. It was brand new and being sold for a fifth of what others were selling it for. It shipped very quickly and I received it within days of purchase. AWESOME! The wire filter allows the cocoa bean grinds to saturate the water properly to get a nice tasting brew. Easy to wash, easy to use, I love it!

Had old filter for years. Once it disintegrated, I debated if I should purchase a new one. Couldn’t find this style in any of my local stores. Initially, didn’t want to pay shipping for a $8 item…. After using paper filters for awhile, I decided to splurge. Glad I did!! Hope it lasts as long as my first filter. PS: Well worth the shipping!!!

I bought this for a new coffee maker that is 12 cups, and I love the lack of paper waste from my morning coffee. Also, the price of this one reusable coffee filter is minuscule compared to buying paper filters for a few months.

I had one that I bought at the grocery store that kept spilling the coffee grounds into the coffee so I decided to go to Amazon and found the filter I needed and it works perfectly, no more grounds in my coffee. I Love It

We’ve been using this filter in our Mr. Coffee ECM21 combination espresso n’ coffee machine and have had no problems whatsoever in all this time. The filter is gentle yet strong, doesn’t smell or anything, looks good, comes with its own handle and very easy to clean.Nice Product and a lot of bang for its buck!!!
